Note to the Editor

On November 4, 2010, the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) published updated corporate sustainability assessments. According to DJSI, calculation errors had been identified in the evaluation of the sustainability performance of the companies analysed, necessitating a reassessment for 2010. adidas AG has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes 11 consecutive times and was rated as industry leader seven times in a row. We are pleased that we have again been selected to join the DJSI for the year 2010/11. We view this as recognition of our achievements and our ongoing efforts to continuously improve our performance in sustainability issues. This positive assessment also spurs us to continue and further intensify our programmes and measures related to the sustainable development of our company.
