adidas-Salomon and Porsche Design enter long-term strategic partnership including licensing agreement

Herzogenaurach / Bietigheim-Bissingen - adidas-Salomon AG and Porsche Design Group (Porsche Lizenz- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG) have signed a long-term strategic partnership including licensing agreement. The objective of the cooperation is to jointly establish a hi-tech premium brand in the sports sector. Footwear, apparel and hardware for golf, tennis, running and possibly other sports will be designed and developed under the name "Porsche Design" with the co-branding of the adidas and TaylorMade brands. The first products in the new Porsche Design sports product line will be available in 2007 worldwide from select sports retailers and in the exclusive Porsche Design stores.

"Porsche Design and adidas are a perfect fit. This cooperation will lead to innovative, hi-tech sports products that capture the fascination of Porsche Design and adidas," said Herbert Hainer, CEO of adidas-Salomon AG.
