adidas-Salomon AG announces management change in North America

Herzogenaurach, 12/01/2000 - Steve Wynne, President and CEO of adidas-Salomon America, has decided to leave the company. In order to ensure a smooth transition, he will remain in charge of adidas-Salomon America until his successor takes up his position. A successor will be appointed in the near future..

Herbert Hainer, Deputy Chairman of the Board of adidas-Salomon AG and responsible for Region Europe and Region Asia/Pacific, will assume temporary additional responsibility for Region America. In this role, he will personally take charge of finding the right person to fit into the new adidas-Salomon management team and lead the company in America to continued growth.

Steve Wynne (47) joined adidas America in 1995. His efforts in this position were an important factor in the turnaround that the adidas brand has seen in North America over the past few years.
