adidas America adds a new member to its executive team

Beaverton, OR., 05/12/2000 - Ross McMullin, President and CEO of adidas America today announced the addition of Tim Joyce (45) to the company’s executive team. Joyce will assume the role of Executive Vice President on January 2nd. 

Joyce will be working closely with McMullin to develop and implement strategies aimed at capitalizing on the tremendous strength of the adidas brand, and returning the business to a position of strong growth. 

Joyce will be a pivotal member of the management team with his primary area of responsibility being sales and retail operations. In this role, Joyce will oversee the entire sales function including adidas’ retail in line and outlet stores across the country.

Joyce brings to adidas a wealth of experience in both sales and the sporting goods industry. He served most recently as president of Fogdog.com, the largest on line sporting goods e-tailer. Prior to his time at Fogdog.com Joyce spent more than 19 years with Nike Inc., serving in various roles including the Director of European Sales from 1994-1996. His last position at Nike was Vice President of Global Sales.

Joyce also brings something that is core to adidas, an intense love of sports and understanding of competition. He played professional basketball in Greece and was drafted by the NBA in 1979. Joyce received his Masters in Sports Administration from Ohio University. He lives in Lake Oswego Oregon with his wife and two children.
