“Platform A” is the digital sports accelerator program performed by adidas at Station F in Paris designed to deliver the best digital innovation in sport. The accelerator aims to use the innovative power of the global start-up scene to jointly identify the potential for new strategically important projects.
For adidas, the cooperation with the start-ups under the umbrella of Station F in Paris is part of the consistent implementation of the strategic business plan "Creating the New". At the core of "Creating the New" stands the ambition to further drive top- and bottom-line growth by significantly increasing brand desirability. "Creating the New" is based on the three strategic choices of Speed, Cities and Open Source. adidas also focuses on digital as part of "Creating the New".
September 2019 brought down the curtain on our successful collaboration with our ﬁrst generation of startups. After this success, Platform A reiterate the experience with its batch of novelties: This time Platform A launched two separate tracks « Campus » and « Focus ». Respectively, one is based on a concept of incubation with early stage startups and the idea of co-creating with adidas in Paris Station F, the other one stand on accelerating more advanced startups by scaling their solution with adidas. The campus track spotlight innovation based on women empowerment and sustainability while the focus track is related to retail and e-Commerce opportunities.
We are very excited to collaborate with Station F and the best start-ups in the sector. ’Platform A’ offers them and us the opportunity to learn from each other. Together we will develop innovative and exciting new products and business models for sports.
