As a part of the environmental management system approach, Doug Noonan, who is Head of Group Corporate Real Estate, and his team introduced a building management system that changes light levels for different floors depending on the time of day and the season. While this was a significant five-figure investment, the reduction in energy bills means a payback period of less than two years. These are the kind of win-wins that the company wants to achieve.
