Katja Schreiber is Senior Corporate PR Manager for the adidas Group. In her role, Katja is responsible for the external communication of topics such as Finance, Social + Environmental Affairs, Operations, Supply Chain and regional topics related to Asia and North America.
Katja was born in Korbach, Germany, in 1979. She studied Sports Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Braunschweig/Germany, and also spent semesters abroad in Hobart/Australia and Qingdao/China. During her studies, Katja completed internships in various sports-related fields, including athlete management and sponsoring, and also worked as freelance writer for a German newspaper.
After graduating in 2004, Katja joined the Corporate Communication Team of the adidas Group in 2004 where her responsibilities included the global internal communication of the company’s acquisition of Reebok in 2005 as well as the 2006 FIFA World Cup™. In 2008, Katja spent nine months in Beijing, China, where acted as spokesperson for the adidas Group leading up to and during the Olympic Games. Since her return to the global Corporate PR team in December 2008, Katja is spokesperson for the adidas Group.
Katja is a big sports fan and enjoys playing all kinds of sports, especially swimming, hiking, kayaking and cross-country skiing. In the 90s, Katja was a member of the German national juniors fencing team and competed at an international level in epee fencing. Katja also likes travelling and currently lives in Nuremberg, Germany.
