1. What can I expect from an internship at adidas in the US?

You can expect at least 1 project assignment as well as a wide variety of day-to-day tasks during your time as an intern at adidas. You may be asked to plan events, attend business reviews, give presentations and ensure our teams and athletes have the product they need to go for the win. You’ll also learn first-hand about “real world” business issues and the ideas that work as solutions.

3. Is there a difference between an internship and the Future Product Manager Trainee Program?

Yes, internships last a few months while the Future PM Program lasts two years. Internship work assignments and projects are typically best suited for undergraduates or 1st year graduate students. The Future Product Manager Trainee Program is designed to focus more on project and business management and geared towards those students who have completed an MBA or Graduate-level business program.

Internships are available throughout the year, but the need for interns is typically higher in the summer months.

5. How do I apply for an internship?

The best and only way to be considered for an internship is to create a profile and apply online at our career center Career Scout. When available, internships are posted on our corporate website. If no internships are posted you may add a job search agent to notify you when an internship becomes available.

6. Is there an application deadline?

No. Internships are posted as they become available and are driven by the needs of the business. We always accept applications for internships, when available, through our Career Scout online system

7. What are the eligibility requirements for an internship at adidas?

The minimum requirements for all internships at adidas are as follows: university/college level student finishing their junior year, seniors, graduating senior or MBA/Graduate level students with at least a 3.0 GPA. All internship candidates must be available for a minimum of three (3) months. All candidates must be legally eligible to work in the US for the entire duration of the internship. .

8. Do you accept international students for internships at adidas in the US?

Yes. However, international students must first successfully complete an internship at adidas in Germany prior to applying for an internship at adidas in the US. All international students must be able to obtain the proper visa/work permits for their internships in the US. It is your responsibility as an international student to make arrangements for securing your own visa/work permit for the entire duration of your internship in the US.

Each year, around 340 interns join the adidas team in Herzogenaurach, Germany and the next one could be you! Internships in Germany typically last from 3-6 months. Application materials are due approximately 3 months prior to the date you wish to start the program. Apply for an Internship by clicking on "Job Board" on the left hand side.

10. How do I find out about the Trainee Program in Germany?

All information about the Trainee Programs offered at our Headquarters offices in Germany can be found under the “Students & Graduates” section of our global website, just click here. Trainee opportunities typically last from 12-18 months and are available in a number of different functional areas such as Global Finance/Controlling, IT, Product Creation, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales and Retail. As with internships, applications for Trainee positions are due approximately 3 months prior to the start date of the program.

11. How does the intern selection process work?

adidas is always recruiting top students for available internships. As internships become available, they are posted for a minimum of 3 days. Once candidates apply, their profiles are reviewed by an adidas Recruiter. As applicants are reviewed, candidates who are selected for phone or in-person interviews will be contacted by an adidas Recruiter. When positions are filled, candidates will be notified either by email or phone of their status.

12. How will I know the status of my application after I apply online?

The adidas Recruiting Team makes every effort to communicate the status of your application in a timely fashion. However, due to the large volume of applicants applying for intern positions we are unable to contact each candidate individually to discuss their application status, interests and experience.

13. Are internships at adidas paid?

Yes, all internships at adidas are paid. Internships are considered non-exempt positions and are eligible for overtime pay. Paydays are every other Friday.

Yes, interns are eligible for membership at the on-site fitness center and for product discounts during their internship at adidas.

Internships for US students last from 3-6 months, while international student internships last 6-9 months.

While some internships are based at our regional offices, most internships are located at the adidas North America Headquarters office in Portland, Oregon.

17. If I do not live in Oregon, how will I find housing?

adidas has partnered with internhousing.com to provide you with an online resource that makes finding roommates and available housing easier. Once you are selected for an internship you’ll be provided with a user name and password so you can easily access the site immediately. Although adidas provides internhousing.com and other resources to you to assist you in your search for suitable housing, it is your responsibility to make arrangements for your own housing.

18. Will adidas cover my travel and housing expenses if I do not live in Oregon?

adidas will provide students living more than 200 miles from Portland a stipend to be used for travel and/or living expenses. The stipend will be paid out with your first paycheck (typically, 3 weeks after your start date). The stipend is considered taxable income and is subject to all applicable state and federal taxes.
