Preparation
Before submitting an application for a position, please make sure you have taken the time to understand a bit about the organization, and certainly have taken enough time to read the job description. With eRecruiting your application gets sent into the hands of the recruiter within just moments, and you never know how quickly you might get a call back. Be sure when you send an application that you are prepared to discuss why you are a strong fit for the role and for the adidas Group.
To enter a requisition into the eRecruiting system, you should always have an electronic version of your resume/CV and cover letter available. The system will guide you through and ask that you provide personal contact information, education and language skills, work history, career interests, and will then ask you to upload your resume/CV and possibly your cover letter.
Passion
When providing resumes, cover letters, and other important information to an organization, don’t forget to show them why you applied. Employers want to see that you applied for reasons more than just wanting a job. For example, when applying for the adidas brand, it’s great that you get the point across of why you love the brand. If you are a top athlete, a fashion fanatic, or none of the above but love the brand, there are plenty of opportunities to work this into a cover letter. A prerequisite for working for adidas is loving the brand as much as we do.
Performance
Applying for a job is no time to be modest. It is very important that you “show off” all of your accomplishments in a very clear and concise way. If you were the number 1 sales person in your last job, we need to know about this. If you saved your organization 20% of prior year costs, tell us this too. Make sure that your resume gets a point across, and make sure that it focuses on precise and measurable accomplishments.
If you follow these 3 steps you too will be playing at a championship level. Showing preparation, passion and performance in your online applications will lead to the winning results.
