SRI Fund managers and analysts

Interest from the financial community has steadily increased. In October 2007 we accepted the invitation of a Swiss-based SRI fund to provide fund managers and SRI analysts with first-hand information about the Group’s sustainability programme. Over the course of 2007 we responded to various comprehensive enquiries from socially responsible investors, fund managers and financial analysts. Every questionnaire they send us requires intense collaboration with other Group functions and departments in order to provide full and complete responses. We also gave several telephone interviews to SRI organisations from Europe and the United States. Major subjects of the enquiries and interviews were:

1. Updates on recent factory cases that had been published on our website
2. Further clarifications on our Workplace Standards, in particular on working hours
3. Clarifications on our policies regarding product safety and restricted substances
4. More in-depth information about the adidas Group’s internal code of conduct for our own employees
5. A general update of the company profile, which forms the basis of the assessment by analysts and investors
6. Our contribution to a study on corporate ageing.

In Asia investment funds also enquired about CSR performance of the adidas Group’s suppliers listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
